Home Q&A
  1. How do I know which model of RGB SSD is suitable for my current motherboard?
Ans: First, please check which type of RGB lighting header is on your motherboard. For example, there are 12V RGB Header / 5V add Header / USB 9pin Header. (Each brand of motherboard may have different name for the header. Please check your motherboard’s specification first) Cross-reference the model and accessories table, then you will be able to choose a suitable DELTA RGB SSD product.

  2. Can DELTA RGB SSD (5V) be connected to a 12V RGB Header?
Ans: Each model can only use its exclusive cable to connect to the specific header on the motherboard. Do not replace it with other cables. The warranty will be void if RGB SSD is damaged due to connecting with other cables. For more information on each model’s corresponding cable accessories and header please refer to the model and accessories table.

  3. My motherboard only has a 12V RGB Header, but I really like the mixed color lighting effect, which model should I choose?
Ans: You can pick the DELTA R RGB SSD (Rainbow). You can immediately enjoy the water flowing lighting with Rainbow mixed color effect when you turn on your PC. However, this product can not control lighting effect through motherboard’s software. Only a single Rainbow lighting effect is built-in.

  4. How can I tell if my motherboard has 5V Add Header or not?
Ans: You can check the motherboard manufacturer's official website or the technical notes first. In addition, Team Group's official website provides a list of motherboard models with
5V Add Headers. (The list of compatible motherboards will be updated irregularly. Please refer to motherboard manufacturer's announcement for related specifications).

  5. Will I damage the RGB SSD if I plug in the wrong motherboard header?
Ans: Yes! If you plug in a incorrect header, it might damage the RGB SSD. The warranty will be void due to improper use.

  6. Can I use a 12V to 5V adapter cable?
Ans: You cannot use a power converter cable because, in addition to the voltage difference of 12V and 5V, the source of the LED control signal is also different, therefore it can’t be transferred using the method of power converter. The RGB SSD will be damaged by trying this method, and the warranty will be void.

  7. If the 5V Add header on the motherboard is occupied by other product, is there any other suggested way to connect?
Ans: Please refer to the list with other manufacturers of 5V ARGB control boxes and apply according to what each manufacturer suggested. Please refer to each manufacturer’s manual for lighting control and connecting method. After connection, the operating regulation will according to control box’s specification. Any specification change, please refer to specification information updates of each manufacturer. We will not provide any further notice.
